I was asked to begin artistic development on Rezonite in 2017. The game consists of five decks with their own unique play styles, and the conceit that all magic in the game's canon is performed with the use of magical crystals.
I set out originally with games like Magic the Gathering in mind, but decided that as a one-woman art dev team to make the art both more streamlined and more unique.
I suggested we have one character represent each deck - a sort of Master of the play-style, each with their own unique history and style.
With the game's primary gimmick of crystals in mind, each character is designed with the idea of how each deck would adorn themselves in an arsenal of rocks and gems.
